As you know, celebrations come with all of the fixins including the parties with foods that may not at first glance be the healthiest options. These cultural foods deeply connect to our memories and our identity. When we honor cultural ways of connecting, we make space for identity-affirming health and thriving.

You don't have to give any of this up to be your healthiest you. We just shift your recipes to create a healthier version that tastes the same and serves your body even better than before. True health equity includes space for joy, community, and cultural expression.

Your LivingScript: Call or sit down with a family member, elder, or friend and ask about a cultural tradition that shaped their experience of community.
