February is Black History Month, a time to celebrate the resilience, achievements, and cultural wealth of the Black community. But it’s also a reminder of the need for health equity in the ongoing fight for justice.
Black Americans face disparities in:
Access to healthcare
Preventive screenings
Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, heart disease)

To change the narrative, we must:
- Challenge systemic racism in healthcare
- Support equity in health organizations
- Amplify Black voices in medical research and wellness conversations
