During Native American Heritage Month, we honor the strength, wisdom, and resilience of Indigenous communities, while acknowledging the health inequities they continue to face.

Native communities experience:
- Higher rates of diabetes, substance use, and maternal mortality
- Limited access to care due to underfunded Indian Health Services
- Historical trauma and systemic discrimination
But we also celebrate:
- Powerful traditions of healing, food sovereignty, and land stewardship
- Language revitalization and youth wellness programs
- Indigenous-led health movements across Turtle Island
