Pride in Health: Inclusive Wellness for LGBTQ+ Communities

Pride Month is a time to celebrate love, identity, and resilience—but it’s also a time to talk about health equity. LGBTQ+ individuals face higher risks for mental health struggles, substance use, chronic diseases, and delayed medical care due to stigma and discrimination.

Inclusive wellness means creating affirming healthcare spaces, acknowledging trauma, and supporting mental health as a core part of care. It also means training providers to understand gender-affirming practices, inclusive language, and systemic bias.
